SICETEL - Sindicato Nacional das Indústrias de Trefilação e Laminação de Metais Ferrosos (National Syndicate for Industrial Business of Wire Drawing and Rolling of Ferrous Metals) is a non profit organization of business owners, founded en 1934, and since 1979 represents and defends exclusively the interests of ferrous metals business, which are internally grouped in the following sector departments:

Besides these Sectors, SICETEL has an Industrial Relations Committee, that has been effective since 1980 and develops major studies in this area, in addition to the role of giving advice both to its Directors and to associated companies.
As a Syndicate, SICETEL has the purpose of studying, coordinating, protecting and legally representing its economic category, collaborating with government authorities and other associations, in order to obtain social solidarity and its subordination to national interests, having consequently the following main objectives:
- to defend its members interests and the activities that agglutinate them;
- to study problems and to propose solutions desired by the production classes as well as mainly related with its economic category;
- to promote the diffusion of knowledge and information useful to its members, making easy the achievement of its mission not only in the economic field but also in the politic and social areas;
- to cooperate with government authorities in the study and solution of problems regarding the interests of its specific activity and claim to the government authorities the actions necessary to stimulate and consolidate the activities of the business class represented by the Syndicate;
